Ceredigion’s 60 miles (96km) Coast Path is a very special part of the Wales Coast Path, with probably the most varied landscape and terrain of the  870 mile (1400km) route. As well as great views north towards Snowdonia and south towards Pembrokeshire, the Ceredigion Coast path has a wealth of wildlife, geological and archaeological features and a colourful history to discover along the way.

Aberystwyth is also home to the Vale of Rheidol narrow gauge steam railway. Formerly the last steam railway owned by British Rail, it continues to run as a tourist railway. The line runs from Aberystwyth to Devil’s Bridge, a journey lasting approximately one hour in each direction. 

The Teifi Valley Railway is a 2 foot narrow gauge railway created from a branch line of the Great Western Railway which served the West Wales rural area.

Devils Bridge is a world famous tourist attraction in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains and 12 miles from the seaside town of Aberystwyth . These unique waterfalls have attracted many thousands of visitors since the 18th century, including William Wordsworth who wrote about the “Torrent at the Devil’s Bridge”. Today, the Falls Nature Trail provides a unique opportunity to see this great natural feature in the Rheidol Gorge.
